加拿大卫生部下属健康产品及食品司(Health products and food branch)负责监督管理药品、食品、医疗器械及天然健康产品等。该司又下设药品处(The rapeutic products directorate)、天然健康产品处(Natural health products directorate)等机构，其中天然健康产品处负责天然健康产品的注册审批等事项。
